A fun slumber party!

I have been so busy since I arrived here in Omaha, that I have not had much time to update my blog (sorry Mom!). I have so much to tell you about, I will start with my first full day here in Omaha, NE which was Friday June 19,2009.

During the day Friday I mostly sat around the house with Mitchy napping on my lap. Mitch is a very sweet kitty but he sure sleeps a lot! The dollies tell me that Mitchy is host mom & dad's first cat, he is 18 years old now. Mitch seems to really like me, I hope that Diane does not get jealous since prior to my arrival she was Mitchy's "favorite". The dollies came and kept me company while Mitchy took his long nap, we talked and talked which helped to pass the time.

They ordered in pizza for dinner, so I finally had to wake Mitchy up so I could eat. I felt kind of bad for making him move, but that pizza smelled so good!

We had 3 different kinds of pizza to eat: pepperoni, mushroom, and a vege pizza. They were all delicious, I could not pick a favorite! Kaya, Diane, Lily Nicole, Norah Kathleen, and myself all had several slices of pizza, we were stuffed! Some of the kitties must like pizza too, since Mr. Curtis and Baby came and joined us for pizza. They are such funny cats! The dollies told me that Mr. Curtis and Baby both had the same Mama Kitty but are from different litters, that must be why they are the best of friends.

Then we had a slumber party that night!! We got into our pajamas and rolled out the sleeping bags. We had such fun --- we played with our teddy bears, with a Barbie Dream House (boy that was sooo cool!), and read stories from their favorite books. We talked for hours & hours, the dollies are so friendly. We had a bedtime snack of milk and cookies, and Baby must like cookies as well since she kept trying to steal our cookies! Silly Baby.

I got to meet another of the dollies that live here in Omaha, her name is Linda. She told me she used to be a Josefina doll with a horrible mohawk haircut. Host mom rescued her on Ebay and gave her a pretty wig to wear. She told me she was so glad to come here to live and that she loves her new wig. She told me her name was changed to Linda after she moved here, she said her mom and aunt Trish (who I will get to meet on my next trip!) both think Linda looks like a singer named Linda Ronstatt. Linda is very nice and rather talkative. She also told me that I will get to meet the other dollies that live here over the next few days, they didn't want to overwhelm me with all of them at once. When we finally settled down for the night to get some sleep, Linda read to us from her favorite book, it was a Nancy Drew Mystery! That book is interesting, I hope she will read to us every night, I want to know how the story ends.

Here is something strange though... when I asked Kaya how many dollie sisters she had she said she didn't know for sure. I think that is odd, don't you? She said that some of them were strictly historical, and others were modern so they don't get together too much. She also said that there is a dollie room downstairs in the family room which is where a bunch of the dolls are. I will get to meet all of them while I am here visiting, so maybe I can get to to bottom of this mystery. Nancy Drew would be able to solve this, so maybe I can too!

More exciting news! Kaya told me tonight that we will be going to something called Railroad Days on Saturday and Sunday. She showed me newspaper clippings about this, it looks like fun! We will go to museums and see actual trains!! More about that later...
