We had a Hula Party on June 24th!!

It was very hot weather last week, so the dollies decided what would be better than to have a hula party ! Host mom found these nifty grass hula skirts at Target (they are actually for dogs!) and we made flower leis to wear with the hula skirts. There were not enough hula skirts for everyone to wear, but we made enough leis for everyone to wear to the party. We all changed into our bathing suits or tropical shorts outfits to get ready for the party.

We had tons of good food to eat.. different kinds of sandwiches, watermelon, apples, oranges, and bananas. Plus they have a neat portable hibachi grill that Aunt Trish bought as a gift for host mom, so we cooked up some kabobs and roasted ears of corn on it. Then we had fresh lemonade and pop to drink. Wow, were we full after all that food!!

We learned how to hula dance, Diane played Hawaiian music on the ukulele while we danced. The dog Sandy danced with us which was fun. Sandy also kept trying to eat our food. I shared my sandwich with Sandy so she wouldn't be hungry.
Two of the cats came to the party! Mr. Screetchy was not happy to discover that a dog was living in this house, he caused quite a scene. Mia and a few other dollies got knocked over but they were OK. Kelly came to the hula party, but got mad because there was nothing good for him to eat so he left.
